First Baptist Church met in regular church conference October 25, 2020. Minutes of the previous conference were read and approved.
Church Letters Granted: No Request for letter
Stewardship Committee Report –the Financial Reports for July - September 2020 were discussed. There was a question as to the different headings on the report, Pastor Aaron explained and the motion was made that we accept the financial report as presented, motion was seconded, the vote carried.
Facility Maintenance report - on the work done in the Betty Horn building and the new HVAC system work, including removing the asbestos around the chiller pipes and replacing the air handlers they also would remove all the grid work and the ceiling tile. All the work would stay within the amount already approved. The loan has been locked in at 4% percent interest. The Water’s Edge is the loan company that will be handling the loan.
The Church + Community workshop had 30+ in attendance, we focused on how we can serve our community. Several really good ideas were discussed about how we can let them know that we are here to help them with any problems they may have.
The idea for a Hospitality Room for the Crowley police, Tarrant County sheriff department serving in Crowley has been tabled until the Betty Horn building is completed.
There being no other business Pastor Aaron called for a motion to adjourn the church conference, the motion was approved and closed with a word of prayer.

Budget and Committee on Committees Discussion
The Committee on Committees presented the list of new committee members to be approved and voted on a recommendation that the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer remain for another 4 years.
The Outreach Committee to be reactivated with committee members being June Griffin, Beverly Warren,
Jack Warren Vivian Adkison, Norma Igleheart, W.A. Bentley, Melanie Wright, Paul Wright and Kipie Grabow.
The Fellowship Committee duties have changed to include all receptions for new or leaving staff members, and staff anniversary recognition.
Public Relations Committee duties should include making sure that our current sign is updated in a timely manner and that a team is organized to put out the portable signs and to take them in after the service.
The 2021 Proposed budget was discussed, there were many questions about the Childhood budget, the Personnel budget and the interest rate on the new loan for the 2021 budget.

Budget and New Committee members
The Committee on Committees new members and changes to 2 committees and the reactivation of 1 committee, and the Budget vote was held in the 9 am and 11:15 am service on December 13, 2020.
The Committee on Committees recommendations were approved.
The budget was approved by a vote of 71%.
