We at First Baptist Church of Crowley are very glad that you are considering the possibility of visiting us and hope that your time with us will become invaluable to you. Here at First Baptist, we try to make sure the first thing you see when you walk through the doors is a smiling face ready to assist you and your family in whatever needs you may have.
When people are checking out a church, they deserve straight answers to important questions. We have tried to anticipate what a number of your questions may be regarding our church. Please do not hesitate to e-mail us if you have additional questions.
Do you have a Nursery for my baby or preschooler?
We have a wonderful staff of people who are here to serve you and provide wonderful care for your baby so that you may enjoy the service without distraction or diversion. Toys and equipment are disinfected on a weekly basis and your children are cared for by people who have a passion for babies and preschoolers. Babies thru 3 year olds may stay in their Sunday school areas thru the worship hour with our great team of Extended Teaching Care volunteers. Childcare is provided for all worship services.
How big is your church?
We are a multigenerational, multiethnic, racially mixed congregation with an avarage Sunday attendance of 250.
When does Sunday School begin?
Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 am and ends at 10:30am Childcare is available.
When is your worship services?
Sunday Mornings at 11:00 am
Sunday Evenings at 6:15 pm

What is the preaching and music like?
We preach messages from the Bible based on traditional Baptist doctrine.
Our Worship service is a blended service with a choir, praise team, piano, organ, and instrumentalists. We sing hymns as well as praise songs.
What are the church office hours?
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Closed noon - 1:00 for lunch
Friday - 8:00 am - Noon
How do I get to First Baptist of Crowley?
First Baptist is conveniently located on Eagle drive between route 1187 and Crowley High School
What should I wear to church?
Anything you like. We're more concerned with meeting your real life needs than what you wear. Dress usually ranges from blue jeans to business suits and ties -all are welcome!
Will I be welcome at First Baptist?
We welcome anyone, from any walk of life and in any stage of life to join our fellowship. Yes, that means you!!
Will I have to stand up in front of people?
Guest are never called upon or pointed out, so don't worry about being embarrassed. We understand what it is like to be in a new church! So while the people at First Baptist are genuinely interested in getting to know you and want to make you feel welcome, we will never call on you or embarrass you in any way. You can relax and enjoy meeting people at your own pace. Those parts of the service that you may not be familiar with are explained each Sunday morning, so you don't need to be concerned about not knowing when to sit, pray, stand, or what to do next.
What time should I arrive?
Arriving 15 minutes early will allow you plenty of time to locate your class or get comfortable in the Sanctuary. We have several greeters in the foyer that will be more than willing to help you with directions to your classroom, or with any questions you may have.

Do I have to be a Member to participate?
At First Baptist of Crowley you do not have to be a member to participate in any area of worship or a Bible study group! We offer many events and opportunities to the community and encourage participation by all members and non-members. Membership is important though and we encourage everyone to be a part of a worshiping body of believers.
