Aaron Summers - Bio
I am a husband, father, and pastor. In 1978, I placed faith into Jesus Christ. After several years of wandering, I finally settled in to a growing relationship with Jesus during my college years. Though I was raised in church, I questioned everything and rarely received answers that seemed logical. During my time at Union University, I established a regular time in scripture and prayer.
In the Fall of 1992, I moved to Fort Worth, TX to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. While working toward my Masters in Divinity I began dating Dulcie Rogers. We married in 1994 and both graduated from Seminary in 1997. We served Oklahoma Baptists from 1996 to 2014 in various churches and positions in the state. God called us back to Texas in the Summer of 2014. I have been at FBC since 2018.
We have two teenagers: Samuel and Isabella. I am very thankful to God that both have placed faith and Jesus and followed Him in baptism. However, the job continues. It is now our duty to make disciples that make a difference out of each of them. When we are not helping with homework, crafts, sports or other, I enjoy golf, woodworking, and reading.
